Introduction

Aims and Goals

To comply with national policy in cultivating high-level space technology talents and enhancing the quality of university-level space technology education, the Institute of Space Systems Engineering was established in 2023. In accordance to the national policy, the following objectives are aimed to be achieved:

1.    Encourage universities to plan and establish institutes of space systems engineering to cultivate high-level space systems engineering talents.

2.    Cultivate students with interdisciplinary knowledge and practical skills required in space systems engineering to enhance their competitiveness in employment.

3.    Encourage universities to develop new technologies and enhance research and development capabilities, strengthen collaboration between the academia and relevant industries to bolster competitiveness and propel growth in the space industry.

Current Status

Research directions include systems engineering and space engineering. The curriculum includes: systems engineering, project management for complex systems, space mission and system design, cost-effective space mission operations, rocket propulsion, modern satellite navigation, CubeSat design and implementation (I) (II) (III) (IV), etc.

Research and Curriculum Planning

The research directions of the Institute of Space Systems Engineering are divided into two main areas: Systems Engineering and Space Engineering.

Systems Engineering :

Systems engineering, project management for complex systems
